Terms of service
Last updated: 4 September 2026
1. About these terms
This website is operated by ABOUT TRADING LTD, trading as ABouT. Our company number is 17414919 and we are registered in England and Wales.
These Terms of Service apply when you access our website, create an account or purchase products from us. Please read them before placing an order.
References to “ABouT,” “we,” “us” and “our” mean ABOUT TRADING LTD. References to “you” and “your” mean the person using the website or placing an order.
Our full company information is available in our Legal Notice.
2. Using our website
You may use our website only for lawful purposes.
You must not:
-
interfere with the operation or security of the website;
-
introduce viruses, malicious code or harmful material;
-
attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another customer’s account;
-
use the website fraudulently;
-
infringe our intellectual-property rights or those of another person; or
-
use automated systems to extract substantial amounts of website content without our written permission.
You must be at least 18 years old to place an order, or have permission from a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for the order.
3. Products and descriptions
We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, images, prices and availability are accurate.
Colours and appearance can vary slightly depending on the screen or device used. Packaging may also vary from images shown.
Products might incorporate intellectual property belonging to third-party licensors. All relevant trademarks, characters, artwork and other rights remain the property of their respective owners.
We may change or discontinue products, or limit their availability, without notice. Changes won’t affect orders we have already accepted.
Nothing in this section affects your right to receive goods that are as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose.
4. Placing and accepting orders
Submitting an order is an offer to purchase the products in your basket.
An automated order acknowledgement confirms that we have received your order, but doesn’t necessarily mean that we have accepted it. A contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatched.
We may decline or cancel an order before dispatch if, for example:
-
a product is unavailable;
-
payment cannot be authorised;
-
information supplied with the order is incomplete or incorrect;
-
we identify an obvious pricing or description error;
-
we reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised activity; or
-
we cannot deliver to the supplied address.
If payment has already been taken for an order we don’t accept, we’ll issue a refund to the original payment method.
Your cancellation and return rights aren’t affected by this section.
5. Prices and payment
The price charged is the price displayed when you submit your order.
Prices include applicable taxes where required. Delivery charges are shown separately before payment. International customers might also be responsible for import duties, taxes or handling charges, as explained in our Shipping Policy.
If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting an order, we’ll contact you and offer the choice of proceeding at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund.
You must provide complete and accurate payment, billing and contact information and be authorised to use the chosen payment method.
6. Processing, delivery and risk
Processing times, delivery estimates, shipping charges and international customs information are set out in our Shipping Policy.
Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date. If an event outside our reasonable control causes a significant delay, we’ll contact you and take reasonable steps to minimise its effect. Your legal rights regarding late or failed delivery remain unaffected.
We remain responsible for the goods until they are delivered into your physical possession or that of a person you have nominated to receive them. An exception may apply if you independently arrange a carrier that we didn’t offer.
You are responsible for providing an accurate and complete delivery address. Contact us promptly if you notice an error, although changes might not be possible once processing or dispatch has begun.
7. Cancellations, returns and refunds
Information about our voluntary returns process and your statutory cancellation rights is contained in our Return and Refund Policy.
Nothing in these Terms or our policies limits your statutory consumer rights.
8. Faulty, damaged or incorrect goods
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for their intended purpose.
If an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described, contact us at contact@abouttrading.co.uk with your order number and details of the problem.
We’ll provide an appropriate remedy in accordance with your statutory rights. Depending on the circumstances, this may include a refund, repair or replacement.
9. Customer accounts
If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity carried out through your account.
Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission. We may suspend an account where reasonably necessary to protect you, other customers or the website from misuse or fraud.
10. Intellectual property
The website and its original content, branding, layout, graphics and functionality are owned by or licensed to ABOUT TRADING LTD and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
You may access the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes. You must not reproduce, distribute, modify, republish or commercially exploit our content without permission from the relevant rights holder.
ABouT branding must not be used without our prior written permission. Third-party names, artwork and trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
11. Shopify and third-party services
Our online store is hosted and supported by Shopify. Products purchased through this website are sold by ABOUT TRADING LTD, not Shopify.
The website might contain links to services operated by third parties. We aren’t responsible for the content or practices of independent websites we don’t control. You should review their terms and privacy information before using them.
This section doesn’t exclude responsibility that we cannot legally exclude.
12. Reviews and submitted content
If you submit a product review or other content, you confirm that it is accurate, lawful and your own, or that you have permission to submit it.
You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free permission to display, reproduce and use that content in connection with operating and promoting ABouT.
We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, misleading, infringes another person’s rights or is unrelated to the relevant product or service.
13. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits:
-
liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence;
-
liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
-
your statutory consumer rights; or
-
any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
If we breach these Terms, we are responsible for losses that were a foreseeable consequence of that breach when the contract was formed.
We aren’t responsible for losses that weren’t caused by our breach or weren’t reasonably foreseeable. Products sold through our consumer store are intended for personal use, so we aren’t responsible for business losses such as lost profits, lost revenue or lost business opportunities.
14. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
Shopify and other service providers may process information to operate the store, complete payments, prevent fraud and fulfil orders, as described in that policy.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms when our services, processes or legal obligations change.
The version applying to an order will normally be the version available when that order was placed. We won’t retrospectively change the terms of an accepted order unless required by law or agreed with you.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and contracts between you and us are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you live elsewhere, this doesn’t deprive you of mandatory consumer protections available under the laws of your country. Consumers may bring proceedings in any court entitled to hear the dispute under applicable law, including their local courts where relevant.
We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern directly.
